I’m Not A Good Moderator…

The spam routine by Monty Python

…at least Mitsubishi, Chevrolet, Jeep, Pontiac, Nissan, Ford, Mazda, Audi, Volvo, Toyota, Suzuki, Saab, Ferrari, Dodge, Kia and Fiat seem to think so, because I killed their message 😀

Didn’t mamma ever tell them not to spam? Good thing I drive a Renault 😉

  1. Ooh! My poor fellow…a Renault. I feel sorry for you.

I have to say, the Renault probably has the sorriest excuse for a transmission of any car I’ve ever driven. Hopefully you have an automatic. 🙂

  2. Actually, I’m quite happy with my Clio 1.6 which boasts 100HP and a top speed of 200 km/h even though its almost ten years old. And it’s not an automatic 😀

  3. Hehe. The Clio was the model I was refering to. But you may have a better model. The one I drove was old, and certainly not a high end model. I don’t doubt the HP & speed. I just think the gear shift was rather klunky (not smooth).

Also, if I remember correctly the gas pedal on some of the older renaults was usually a little tiny metallic nub. I always thought this was quite unusual. The clutch & brake pedals were normal size. Hmm, maybe it was designed to psychologically persuade the driver to drive slower. 🙂

  4. Hehehe 😀 could be… But I have no complaints against the gas pedal – nor against the transmision. But I was driving a Skoda Favorit beforehand, so Clio was a move forward in any case 😀

  5. I find it somehow amusing if I see a “škoda” 😉 Slovenia. From what I’ve heard it has the same meaning in Slovak aswell – but there it’s also a women’s name (I asked a Slovak who’s learning Slovene). Ok, a (Slovene) friend of mine is called “Saxony” and studied German – but I couldn’t imagine to call my daughter “it’s a pitty”…

  6. My work gave me a Renault Mégane to drive and even though it is well equipped, I think it sucks drivewise and it accelerates like a tired tortoise. My own Toyota Corolla (two years old this July) is way more pleasant to drive and it accelerates like a good car should. On top of that, the Mégane looks like a clothes iron with that straight back window. Oh well, at least it’s free and I’ve got a tank card to boot. But if you see a black Toyota Corolla with Belgian license plates roam around Ljubljana, you can be sure it’s me… 😉
