Something To Chew On A Saturday Morning (vol. 2)

No wonder John McCain is doing so badly in the polls. The guy picked the wrong Palin for his running mate!

Go figure… Maybe with this Palin in the White house Her Majesty would not feel the urge to revoke the US independence

Wassup!?

You’ve probably already seen this, but…. Remember the year 2000? When our biggest worry was the millenium bug and where does Monica Lewinsky get her clothes drycleaned? When the main political news was Al Gore going for Tipper’s tonssils? When “watching the game, having a Bud” was a perferctly legitimate way to spend your time?

Well, thousands of billions of dolars, eight years, two wars, one drowned city, one Wall St. meltdown and one severely failed presidency later, things are just not the same on the other side of the Pond.

True.

Unless of course disaster happens.

Friday Foxies CI.

20081024_ff Friday Foxies CI.

Meet Cecilia and Rose :D

And while we’re on the same-sex couples issue - you probably already know that Jörg Haider and his sucessor Stefan Petzner shared more than just political affiliaton. Apparently Frau Haider didn’t object. (What did she do? Join in on the fun?). But even if she did object - it was the perfect example of Austrian version of KKK (Küche, Kinder, Kirche)

Is it just me, or are perverts thick on the ground over there across the border?

BTW: Petzner was party chairman only until coming out. A quick final solution if I ever saw one :D

Just to go on the record here. I don’t think Haider’s and Petzner’s sexual orientation is an issue. I do, however, have a problem with politicians running on a bigotous, anti-homosexual, nationalistic and what-have-you agenda, even more if they’re harbouring love for person of same gender. Next thing we’ll find out they were whispering tender words to each other in Slovene….

EDIT: With many thanks to Adriaan for bringing this to my attention and for the debate which followed.
