What I was trying to say is that any sort of colaboration between the three will be a marriage of convenience rather than a passionate relationship filled with love. But I was also trying to say that this is the strength of the left-wing parties rather than a weakness - and this is the point in which the good doctor and I seem to agree.

Regardig Pahor's "early ejaculation" (whaaat? ) I think that it is a non-issue. Given all that we know now, it would seem plausible that he was chased by shadows even then and sent a message as much to the electorate as to people he thinks are contemplating naming an outsider as PM after the left bloc wins. If it wins.

It may have escaped me, but I have not noticed any significant changes that I'd refer to as cracks in the (actually non-existent) left bloc?

If the three parties you mention do not act as a single unit (and as Davor puts it thereby possibly lose collaboration-induced momentum too early), it gives them a chance to build their individual public images reflecting their positions on issues. Each may be able to offer creative solutions to problems the country is facing today and is likely to face in the future.

Partnership between equals who contribute their own individual characters, ideas and visions so that the union may grow stronger as a whole while the partners maintain their individuality is so much sexier than a semi-forced marriage of interest where a single line of thought is considered acceptable and no individual character is tolerated.

We must remember Peterle who shot his gunpowder to early. There is still enough time to declare a post election coalition as a main goal of left parties.
I was amused when I saw the scene on RTVSLO when the 3 presidents on the picture where walking together to this very press conference. It looked like they where big buddies or they are excellent actors.
