Monday Morning Meat #65

I didn’t win the lottery yesterday. Nicolas Kim Coppola, a.k.a. Nicolas Cage did - at least while playing officer Charlie Lang in It Could Happen To You. But he shot a number of better movies. What’s your favourite?

Just yesterday I saw him in ‘Lord Of War’, which was half decent. However, my first confrontation with Cage was in David Lynch’s ‘Wild At Heart’, which will always remain my favourite movie with him in it. I also like ‘Matchstick Men’ a lot, which I saw at Kolosej, by the way. And, of course, ‘Leaving Las Vegas’. I’m actually doubting whether it should replace ‘Wild At Heart’ as my favourite Cage movie. Three entirely different movies, but it shows how broad the range of Cage’s acting is…

Ditto for Wild At Heart. My favourite Cage movie. But then again, I also liked Gone In 60 Seconds. A lot

Uf I can’t stand his pathetic face…except in Leaving Las Vegas…

I have a strong dislike for Cage, too. And I don’t even remember having seen any of his films.

My favorite movie with Cage is Moonstruck, and yes, he can be pathetic,
in this picture, well, a little more hair and he might even look sort of deep-in-thought-romantic kinda guy
but I’m still waiting for John Wayne

I don’t think he’s that bad at all… he does have the “suffering” quality, but it can at times be considered romantic

Well the thing is, I love “Leaving Las Vegas” but frankly can’t stand the man’s other work. One of the worst acting performances I’ve ever seen is Cage’s work in “Bringing out the Dead”. Rotten film too.

I just jumped off my chair - it’s friday, I forgot MMM yesterday! But - it’s never too late. I like this week’s choice very much. Maches my taste: Cage (I like him (I don’t know the title of the movie, but there was a lot of sex)), black&white, nice photo, esthetic and two most important things: beer and cigaret
Thank you.
